Noise is meaningless chaos
untranslated babble
clashing like off-tempo cymbals
in a symphony yet to begin
understanding fades
an insignificant drop
racing against tides
in its patient flow
we chase the calm
peace against the frantic
howling winds battering
safe little houses
tucked away for the night
waiting for a tomorrow
that will dredge the chaos once more
