#Friday Philosophy 05/16/2025

I haven’t done one of these #FridayPhilosophy posts in a very long time, and I don’t have a specific theme as I normally would. We have fourteen school days left (including today), so it is safe to say that the only driving thought is that I’m hanging on by a thread! 😀

Today also marks 14 years since I kicked out my malignant hitchhiker, so I’m spending some time being grateful that I am still here, and still cancer-free.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” – Frank Herbert

“Sometimes, even to live is an act of courage.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

“No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side.

Or you don’t.” – Stephen King

“Temper us in fire, and we grow stronger. When we suffer, we survive.” – Cassandra Clare

“We’d stared into the face of Death, and Death blinked first. You’d think that would make us feel brave and invincible. It didn’t.” – Rick Yancey

Blessings to you all.
