Well, here we are. Surgery day.
As I sit here waiting for my time to leave for the hospital, I am realizing something important. And it isn’t just important to me, it is important to anyone who is going to have surgery: when they offer you a surgery time at noon, try to get it moved up to morning. Really.
I am sitting here, starving and thirsty. Most mornings, I am not hungry for breakfast at all. Apparently I am just ornery enough to want breakfast only when I know I am not allowed to have it.
Feeling a lot this morning, and last night. Feeling too much, really.
This may be the last blog for a bit, since I will come out of this with strict limitations on me. For those of you who have been reading, thank you. I will return with stories of hitting on nurses and doctors alike as soon as I am back on my feet. 🙂
In the eloquent words of a perfect stranger, F*ck Cancer.
I think I’ll make sure I take her advice.
Blessings to all…
