Not as in the future tense. Although, something will happen. It’s inevitable. 😉 Today, I’m thinking about will, as in will power or determination. It’s that spark of something that keeps us pushing ourselves forward, even when the odds seem to be overwhelming and definitely not in our favor.
School is officially out for summer here, so we are all thinking our thoughts quietly and getting ready for the kick off of swim practices and early morning running. Yep, you guessed it – if they’re home, off they go to train with me! 5:00 a.m. is going to be so fun.
Without further ado, some thoughts on will:
“Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes.” ~ Chinese proverb
“Our bodies are our gardens to the which our wills are gardeners.” ~ William Shakespeare
“With but few exceptions, it is always the underdog that wins through sheer willpower.” ~ Johnny Weissmuller
“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi
“The more things you do, the more you can do.” ~ Lucille Ball
May your will be strong. Never give up.
Blessings and a happy weekend to you all!
