I am hoping the title line attracted some attention, because this blog is an important one. Many of you have visited my father’s blog here – learningwithoutscars.com. For those of you who haven’t, he runs his own consulting business in the heavy equipment industry. I have had occasion, over the years, to meet many of his business associates. About four years ago, his associate Marty Piel was here for one week to visit/have a confab with Dad. That week coincided with swim lessons for my babies, so Dad and Marty came to the lessons every day. 🙂
Marty is, in addition to working for DitchWitch, a minister for his Church. He is an all around terrific man, with a lovely family.
In 2007, Marty’s granddaughter Zoey was born. Zoey began facing health problems at only three months of age, and has been diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome.
I am asking every single one of you who visits this blog to PLEASE share it: with your twitter followers, your facebook friends, your church, your business place, JUST EVERYWHERE YOU CAN! Zoey has a website now, due to the aboslutely catastrophic costs associated with the necessary medical care. You can read her story at http://www.giveforward.com/zoeyszoneforhope#
If any of you can donate, please do so. If you cannot make a donation, I ask that you please pray for Zoey and her family – and ask everyone you know to say a prayer for her too.
For more information about Dravet Syndrome, you can visit http://www.dravetfoundation.org
Thank you for reading, and thank you in advance for spreading the word and helping Zoey get the necessary medical treatment!
Blessings to you all…
Sending prayers to Zoey and her family!
