There Are No Lions Here #MondayBlogs
The mind is a zebra
skittish
poised
to run
Every rustle and every breeze
stalks
hunts
sees its prey
But there are no lions here
no apex,
set to pounce
no predator trapping us
In its hungry gaze
from across
a savanna
in the wilderness of thought
There are no lions here
to disrupt the peace
and so the mind learns its truth
amid the calm – Caroline A. Slee
