Friday Philosophy from the Trenches!

I’m a whirling dervish today. Moses and Maddie are off school today, so that’s an extra layer of busy-ness for the day. 🙂 We are baking pumpkin bread, housecleaning, doing laundry, and writing. When I say “we” are writing, I really do mean all of us. Well, Lara is advising. Moses is writing a collection of short stories, Maddie is writing a children’s version of “The Odyssey,” I am writing for NaNoWriMo plus Yahoo plus my own projects.

On that note, here are today’s quotes:

“The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself.” ~ Mark Caine

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” ~ Thomas Edison

“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” ~ David Brinkley

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ~ Steve Jobs

Blessings to you all, and remember: NEVER GIVE UP!
