Tuesday Thoughts…Reading

I’ve been a bookworm my entire life. I don’t remember anyone “teaching” me how to read. I remember people reading to me, and then just doing it for myself. When I was really young, I loved nothing more than diving into a Nancy Drew mystery and whiling away an afternoon.

So, as a writer, and still a voracious reader, today’s thoughts are on reading.

“I never feel lonely if I’ve got a book – they’re like old friends. Even if you’re not reading them over and over again, you know they are there. And they’re part of your history. They sort of tell a story about your journey through life.” ~ Emilia Fox

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” ~ Joseph Addison

“There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them.” ~ Ray Bradbury

“To me, this is the singular privilege of reading literature: we are allowed to step into another’s life.” ~ Nicole Krauss

Curl up with a good book – of any kind. Tonight, I’m climbing into the mind of a serial killer. Errrr, if my post tomorrow is scattered, it means the serial killer scared me too much. Haha.

Blessings to you all…
