In the online world, you can be anything you want. You can be an armchair warrior, pushing for social change from the safety of your living room. You can be a ray of sunshine, cheering up the people with whom you interact. You can be an anonymous bully, posting revenge wherever you go.

For a radical idea, why not be…you?

We all have our frailties and foibles, our silliness and our joy. Every single human on this earth has their own darkness within them as well, and it doesn’t make them “less than.”

Be vulnerable. Be you. It shows in your writing, in your voice – even over a computer. 🙂

Will it win you any popularity contests? Maybe not. But it will engage people who can value you for who you are, not the pseudo-life that can be lived through the anonymity our computers afford us.
