I’m a fan of morning coffee. I love my morning ritual, in which I awaken at least one full hour before anyone else and sip my coffee and watch the sunrise.
But right around mid-afternoon, I hit a little low point in my energy levels. It’s the wrong time for coffee, and I’ve usually already sipped some tea during my morning work hours.
That’s when I get a little creative with some basics around the house.
Lemon, honey, cinnamon.
That’s all I need to get a little steady boost to power through the rest of the day. I boil water, add a tablespoon of honey, two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Keep in mind, this requires frequent mixing or swirling to keep the cinnamon dispersed throughout.
Not only does it lift my spirits, it’s actually healthy.
Next time you need a lift (and don’t have time for a nap), I highly recommend you try this.
