Friday Philosophy: Eastern Edition

Advertisements

It’s not a specific topic or idea today.  It’s a region.

When we look at Eastern approaches to health and lifestyle we see what looks – to our Western “here, take 2 of these and call me in the morning” lifestyle – like a more integrative, holistic approach to the body, mind, and spirit.  When I summarize what my impression is, I would say that Eastern philosophers and practitioners don’t recognize a separation between the mind, body, and spirit.  🙂

So, Eastern philosophers for Friday Philosophy.

“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” ~ Sun Tzu

“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” ~ Confucius

“If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place.” ~ Lao Tzu

“The river that flows in you also flows in me.” ~ Kabir

“When words are both true and kind, they can change the world.” ~ Buddha

“Raise your words, not your voice.  It is the rain that grows flowers, not the thunder.” ~ Rumi

Blessings to you all on this Friday night.  Never give up!
