The storytellers
sing the day
the history shared
the artists
cast ancestors
onto walls
as life danced
beyond night fires
and dangerous skies
The words unfurled
languages flowing to one
another Babel
as we moved out of music
the song became speech
and the lyric became form
Until poetry rose:
a new rebellion
Hi Caslee,
That was nice of you to reblog Donna’s party. I can relate to your poem both as a writer and as a history teacher.
I met you at Donna’s blog party. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I write about. For example, I recently wrote How to Get 842 page views to your blog in less than a day
http://www.mostlyblogging.com/get-842-page-views-to-your-blog/
I also have several blog parties each month like Donna.
