Friday Philosophy ~ Dogs

I’m an animal person. I can’t classify myself as a dog person, or a cat person, or… I love them all. My allergies really dislike me for this. And don’t get me started on horses! Who on earth is allergic to horses?! Oh, that’s right, I am.

I was thinking about pets today, as our dog decided to be a baby last night and wake us up in the wee hours.

She’s awfully cute, and named for a character from The Sound of Music. She’s worth the extra sleepiness I feel today. I thought I would share some quotes from others about dogs, specifically.

“Dogs are wise. They crawl away into a quiet corner and lick their wounds and do not rejoin the world until they are whole once more.” ~ Agatha Christie

“To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring – it was peace.” ~ Milan Kundera

“All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.” ~ Charles M. Schulz

“There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.” ~ Ben Williams

“We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.” ~ Immanuel Kant

Wishing you soft snuggles from your furry children. Blessings!
