Perhaps

In another life

I did not walk upon land

But instead

Slid sinuous

Far from the sun

The body remembers

While logic

Screams protest:

Gilded scales

Efficient fins

And gliding hours

And when the mind

Is unguarded

The body slips

Back beneath water

To move freely

Unencumbered

By the weightiness

Of gravity – Caroline A. Slee
