Friday Philosophy…2014

Welcome to our first Friday Philosophy of the new year! Let’s go 2014!!! I am still floating on air, having self-published a volume of my poetry. That formatting is nothing to joke about for the novice, just for your information! Now I’m formatting into print, especially as the coolest cousin ever has ordered 7 copies. 🙂

As a result of my giddy emotional state, you’re getting pretty cheery quotes today.

“Cheerfulness is the best promoter of health and is as friendly to the mind as to the body.” ~ Joseph Addison

“Cheerfulness in most cheerful people is the rich and satisfying result of strenuous discipline.” ~ Edwin Percy Whipple

“Optimism is the madness of insisting that all is well when we are miserable.” ~ Voltaire

“Pessimism leads to weakness, optimism to power.” ~ William James

“Hope is definitely not the same thing as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.” ~ Vaclav Havel

Blessings to you all, and NEVER GIVE UP!
