Friday Philosophy…Proverbs

No, not only the book in the Bible.

A proverb is just a saying that imparts some wisdom or truth. Proverbs are often masquerading as advice. 🙂 Since I reblogged from Learning Without Scars this morning, I thought today’s blog should offer up a few of my favorite proverbs. Plus, we can hit an international tour on a Friday night this way!

“Adversity is the foundation of virtue.” ~ Japanese proverb

“Never dread the winter until the snow is on the blanket.” ~ Irish proverb

“Sometimes you have to be silent in order to be heard…” ~ Swiss proverb

“If all fools could fly, the sun would be eclipsed forever.” ~ Dutch proverb

“What soap is for the body, tears are for the soul.” ~ Israeli proverb

“Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still.” ~ Chinese proverb

Blessings to you all. Never give up!
