Yes, it’s been a week. I find myself suffering from the above this week: plagued by contradictions on my thoughts and approaches. I’ve been by turns praying with absolute conviction, and beset by tidal waves of doubt; productive, yet feeling I’ve accomplished little; creative and blocked. See – it’s been a week! 😉
In keeping with that, I thought I’d hunt up the thoughts of bigger brains than mine on the various subjects that have plagued me.
“Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.” ~ St. Augustine
“Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.” ~ Khalil Gibran
“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.” ~ Kurt Vonnegut
“It’s a poor sort of memory that only works backwards.” ~ Lewis Carroll
“Cognition reigns but does not rule.” ~ Paul Valery
“Light and dark: each was unaware that the other existed.” ~ Ashim Shanker
Blessings to you all… Never give up!
