Today seemed like the perfect day for this post, considering the Stanley Cup. 🙂
Each morning, I post some short thoughts/micropoetry and an uplifting or motivational post from some of my favored sites (giving credit, of course). Over the course of time, I’ve noticed that, apart from Dr. Seuss I choose many, many sports quotes.
I know I’ve mentioned that swimming is a meditation for me, while running is pure mood elevation. In the pool, the world can disappear and only my breathing exists. While running, it’s pure joy. Massive exertion, but pure joy nonetheless. As a result of that, when I read quotes from coaches or athletes about perseverance, it speaks to me and I want to share it.
“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.” ~ Marv Levy
It’s true, isn’t it? Hard work, persistence, can get you everywhere.
“It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get up.” ~ Vince Lombardi
No matter what, just keep getting up. Be Michael Jordan – fail over and over and keep playing.
“Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.” ~ George Halas
Live with no regrets. 🙂
Blessings…
