I was talking to a friend this morning, and laughing at the fact that I have tiny papercuts all over my fingers. I am not a nifty gift wrapper, to say the least. Mind you, my Dad used to wrap gifts for my Mom in paper grocery bags, so I might be ahead of the game. 🙂
I think we are all ready for tomorrow, though God knows that Maddie and Moses are more than ready and have been for well over a month. I’m pleased and proud that I am NOT shopping today. I usually still have a few last minute things to take care of on Christmas Eve, but not this year.
I know that there is supposed to be a War on Christmas, or some such media driven hoopla, but I have found more and more store owners and regular people wishing me a Merry Christmas this year than any year previous. It’s a wonderful life.
Some thoughts for the day before I return to Santa/cookie baking duty:
“A good conscience is a continual Christmas.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
“A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful.” ~ Jacqueline Bisset
“We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival.” ~ Winston Churchill
“I did not design this game; I did not name the stakes; I just happen to like apples; and I am not afraid of snakes.” ~ Ani DiFranco
Blessings and a joyous Christmas to you all!
