“Just when the caterpillar thought the world had ended, it became a butterfly.” ~ English proverb
That English proverb is on a fridge magnet my parents gave me as a stocking stuffer on Christmas of 2012. Since I was through the most painful portions of my cancer journey, and my final surgery was already a few months behind me, it seemed rather apt.
Transformation. Change. Growth. I sincerely hope these things are only painful for the human species. If I’m causing massive suffering among my garden plants, I’ll feel just terrible about that.
Life is learning process. God knows, I’ve been learning that since I can remember. 🙂 We are, if we are living and aware, constantly transforming. We grow stronger through challenge, wiser through our trials (or not, depending on our unique dysfunctions, haha), it’s all transformative.
So, some other thinkers’ thoughts on transformation:
“Transformation literally means going beyond your form.” ~ Wayne Dyer
“What you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is change it. If you can’t change it, then change the way you think about it.” ~ Maya Angelou
“I take pleasure in my transformations. I look quiet and consistent, but few know how many women there are in me.” ~ Anais Nin
“We are all butterflies. Earth is our chrysalis.” ~ LeeAnn Taylor
Blessings to you all…
