The sky is choked with dust and wind
the stars have dropped from sight
the world still turns on its axis
and time still makes her demands
but the life we held to yesterday
is no longer what stands before us
darkness lingers and fills every space
as we begin to seek the light
though we stumble in our blindness
and wander without end
