Cleansed…

I am moaning and complaining about my EXTREMELY sore muscles today.  Honestly, “Salute the Sun” and “Downward Dog” have torture capabilities I have never imagined!

This morning, I finally made it to our local organic farmer’s market.  🙂  This is what I did for my childrens’ play date with their friends: dragged them all out (after generously applying sunblock) to roam the stalls and inspect the local produce being offered for sell.  Then, I conned each one of those four into sharing a “green drink” with me.  My two remember when I still had a juicer and made a green drink each day.  They do not remember it fondly.  I used apples to try to cover some of the stronger flavors (such as the dandelion greens – fantastic cancer fighters).

This green drink was amazing.  It used grapefruit, kale, spinach, blue agave, and flax, to name just a few.  All four children became very enthusiastic and shared the drink with me.

Now, I think it is safe to say my poor battered body has been cleansed.  And it is still cleansing approximately every thirty minutes.  To say the least, I am definitely home for the rest of the day.

The good news is that, now that my cleanse is REALLY happening (holy smoke, is it ever happening yikes!), I can get down to some other physical business: trying to gain a little weight, for starters; increasing my stamina, for another.  In terms of stamina, since I have absolutely NONE, I imagine I will see some improvement rather quickly.  (This falls under the heading “starting from zero, nothing to lose, everything to gain.”)

I will be posting more later today, in between my cleansing trips to and fro through the house.  Haha.

Blessings on this beautiful Wednesday, and every day…

  1. It’s great that your cleanse is starting so well, and that even your kids are enjoying your green juice 🙂
I look forward to the farmer’s market coming back here this summer.
All the best with getting your stamina back.

    • Thank you for your good wishes! I think it probably is great that the cleanse has kicked off so well, even though I am starting to grumble about it now. Oddly enough, that green juice did not have the same effect on the children. Apparently, they do not have toxins loaded into their little bodies, which is good to know. 🙂
