Saturday (Not) In the Park…

It definitely isn’t the Fourth of July…

I fell asleep before posting my blog yesterday! Sheesh! Sometimes I think that I have skipped middle age entirely and moved straight into my golden years.

Friday was a bit of a watershed day around here: it wasn’t any one thing in particular, but a grouping of good and bad news, irksome events, and so on. By the end of it, Lara and I were about ready to cry. Haha. It was a Friday that felt like a severe case of the Mondays.

Yesterday, because there is balance in the universe, was a day of quiet contentment. We watched a friend get married yesterday, in a simple and beautiful ceremony. It did our hearts good.

I also logged a 5 1/2 mile run yesterday, just to clear my head! 😉 That may be a part of the reason I fell asleep like a child last night.

It’s a gorgeous weekend here, and I’m diving into a day of domestic chores. Paving the way into Monday, in a painless kind of way.

Remember, “If you don’t like the road you’re on, start paving a new one!” ~ Dolly Parton

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! Blessings!
