Vanished Oceans

Tumbled mountains and sighing winds
from what was once an underwater world
sunburnt stones and taproots digging down
our vanished oceans left us
in an arid, alien clime
wandering sands and creosote
always in search of water
landlocked hearts, landlocked minds
ready to return to the sea
