As I expected, I had to go on hiatus these past couple of weeks. My Maddie turned 12, and the very next day my Moses turned 8. Lara and I were on the go go go non-stop! Then, we hosted the family Fourth of July party, during which a good time was had by all. It was even a musical event, as we all sang patriotic songs throughout the fireworks display. A group of Greeks and Celts, singing full voice, is a pretty spectacular event in and of itself. Sadly, I was really the only one who celebrated Canada Day… 😉
So, for our installment of Friday Philosophy, let’s get started royally!
“The important thing is not what they think of me, but what I think of them.” ~ Queen Victoria
“I have the heart of a man, not a woman, and I am not afraid of anything.” ~ Queen Elizabeth I
“I praise loudly. I blame softly.” ~ Catherine the Great
Those three quotes give me a smile, so I wanted to share them.
And I will close with some words to live by, courtesy of the amazing Katharine Hepburn:
“Never complain. Never explain.”
Blessings to you all, and NEVER GIVE UP!
