I’m sure you’ve all heard the phrase “nothing ventured nothing gained.” I tend to be fairly cautious – as a person, as a mother. But conversations of late have made me ponder the pay offs of taking risks. Really, if we don’t go somewhere we’ve never gone before, what are the odds we will continue to grow and learn new things. I don’t want to live a life of complacency. In fact, I think most of us don’t want to stagnate in the Groundhog Day style of living that can become the daily routine. Let’s see what others have said about this subject, shall we?
“Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
“A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.” ~ William G.T. Shedd
“Never was anything great achieved without danger.” ~ Niccolo Machiavelli
“Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.” ~ Paulo Coelho
Take a risk today! Blessings to you all…
