I’m celebrating today. As Moses just mumbled very sleepily, “happy anniversary,” today marks 3 years that I have been in remission. So it’s sort of a happy birthday/farewell to boobs celebration day. 🙂
As a result, today’s quotable quotes are about remission and cancer – from a mostly cheerful point of view, since I plan on decorating some balloons and cupcakes with a “breast theme” today. Kidding! My children wouldn’t be able to tolerate that, or find it funny. To me, however, it is funny.
“Cancer is an opportunity to sit down and look into yourself and find the answers. Yes, it’s serious. but it’s not the end-all.” ~ Melissa Etheridge
“Today is the first day of my second life.” ~ Seiji Ozawa
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali
“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.” ~ Alice in Wonderland
“He who has never tasted what is bitter does not know what is sweet.” ~ German proverb
“The illness is dangerous, but I am more dangerous than the illness.” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
Blessings to you all, and NEVER GIVE UP!!!
