What can I say? I am writing two blog posts today, since I dropped the ball yesterday. Around here, dropping the ball is also known as “falling asleep.”
I had a busy, productive, and exciting day yesterday. There are still days when, in the midst of what I would consider normal activity, I feel myself start powering WAY down and needing a nap.
Yesterday was one of those days.
I didn’t have time for the nap, however. So, one minute last night I was wide awake and still fully dressed from the day. The next minute I was out cold, still in all my clothes.
After all the time spent recuperating, during which time my doctors staunchly refused to have me return to work, I opted to start working for myself once I had my medical release.
The release only came through fully in the last quarter of 2012, but running my own business is starting to take off. The best part is that, more than any bookkeeping or general office duties I perform, I am actually writing. All of my desire and focus and discipline (with the exception of last night’s snore fest, of course) have magnetically drawn the writing jobs I want.
At the end of the day, I am a writer. It’s a joy to me that I am beginning to be able to sustain a living simply by being who, and what, I am.
Blessings to you all…
