Friday Philosophy…

Here we are, on our Friday again. 🙂

The kids had a day off today. We went to dinner, and I just couldn’t convince my little family to start a “flash mob” with me. My Maddie and I were singing along with the Sara Bareilles song that was playing, and little Othello loves to dance, but they were all feeling too tame. *Sigh.* No fun.

So, quotes for today do not follow a theme, exactly. Just food for thought.

“A thousand Dreams within me softly burn.” ~ Arthur Rimbaud

“Extract the eternal from the ephemeral.” ~ Charles Baudelaire

(Or perhaps the theme could be counted as French writers.)

“The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work.” ~ Émile Zola

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

“Some succeed because they are destined. Some succeed because they are determined.” ~ Unknown

That last one makes me ponder destiny. I think we shape and choose our own destiny every day, with our thoughts, with our love, with our dreams and our action. Of course, as the Knight of the Crusade said in Indiana Jones, we must “choose wisely.”

Never give up!

Blessings to you all…
