Friday Philosophy on Schedule…!

It seems I end up busier on Fridays than I am every other day of the week. As a result of that fact, I’m extremely happy to accomplish my Friday Philosophy when it is still Friday.

Today’s Friday Philosophy is all about REALITY. I’m not going to approach it from the whole “get a grip on reality” aspect (although I do love that one haha). I just want to show a small cross-section, so to speak, of what thinkers and writers and do-ers have shared about their concepts of reality over the years. Many people state that “perception is reality,” so I really have to be careful how I state this. There are some concepts with which I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly, and others…well, others are just not necessarily my cup of tea. So, in no particular order and without any hints as to which of these reflect my own sentiments:

“It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.” ~ Phillip K. Dick

“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?” ~ John Lennon

“One person’s craziness is another person’s reality.” ~ Tim Burton

“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.” ~ Soren Kierkegaard

“If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform a million realities.” ~ Maya Angelou

“There is no point in using the word ‘impossible’ to describe something that has clearly happened.” ~ Douglas Adams (42!!!! I couldn’t help myself there.)

With all of rattling around on the page for you to dissect and absorb, Happy Friday to you all!

Blessings, today and every day…
