Tuesday Thoughts on Fitness…

I have a captive audience this week, since my children aren’t going to school. Yesterday, they did those stadium stairs with me. Today, Moses ran errands with me – on foot. We still have to hit the pool for a good long swim this week, and take our mountain hike. Plus a crossfit stadium stair workout. We’ll take the weekend off. Last week, I only really made it for two days. I was just so busy and swamped that I couldn’t work in any more time for fitness. It gets so hot here during the summer months that I really love to get outside and exercise while it is mild.

I know, many of you are suffering through horrible cold right now. Talk to me in August. When it’s 120 here, maybe it will seem sort of balanced that we have a mild winter.

So, today’s thoughts are on fitness. 🙂

“Exerise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn’t formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.” ~ Lee Haney

“Jogging is very beneficial. It’s good for your legs and your feet. It is also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed.” ~ Charles Schulz

“Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.” ~ Doug Larson

“Your body is a temple, but only if you treat it as one.” ~ Astrid Alauda

“True healthcare reform starts in your kitchen, not in Washington.” ~ Anonymous (To this last, YES!!! Eat FOOD, not processed chemicals.)

I hope you are all well and healthy tonight, and always.

Blessings…
