It’s Friday and I am actually on track!
I’ve been thinking about acceptance lately: what it is, how to achieve it, how to extend acceptance in situations.
We all walk our paths in this life. At times, we are side by side walking to the same place. At other times, we are at cross purposes and distracting each other from our paths. So, with that in mind, here are some quotes that resonate for me.
“Acceptance doesn’t mean resignation; it means understanding that something is what it is and that there’s got to be a way through it.” ~ Michael J. Fox
“One has to accept pain as a condition of existence. One has to court doubt and darkness as the cost of knowing. One needs a will stubborn in conflict, but apt always to the total acceptance of every consequence of living and dying.” ~ Morris West
As much as it was painful, Cancer was a gift. (Sometimes, it was a gift I really wanted to exchange, of course, but a gift nonetheless.)
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” ~ Ambrose Redmoon
“Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
~ Lao-Tze
Friday Blessings to you all…
