Tuesday Thoughts on Belief…

Monday was rough around here. In a nutshell…hmmm, I don’t think I can nutshell this. Haha. Basically, once you’ve had Breast Cancer, you can expect ever increasing health insurance costs (think $1000 per month). So, I signed up for the Affordable Care Act. This was not politically motivated on my part, but motivated by pragmatism. I received the health insurance for which I qualified, and then one by one my doctors opted out of the plan. I am left with insurance, but no oncologist, no primary care physician, nor any of the others. I will admit I cried. In fact, I cried while driving. It’s my thing, and a form of multitasking I seem to consistently be able to manage. Of course, it was just a “tears streaming” type of moment, not a “gut wrenching sobs” kind of moment. I don’t think it’s possible to safely drive and sob all at the same time. 🙂

This morning, I woke up refreshed and still stressed. I worked out, I walked to work, I kicked butt at work. I took some time to write, talked to my children, and am making dinner. I’m feeling good. I’m ready to fight again. I just needed a breather.

So, today’s thoughts are based on that rather lengthy explanation!

“…water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.” ~ Bruce Lee

“All power is within you. You can do anything and everything. Believe in that, do not believe that you are weak. Stand up and express the divinity within you.” ~ Swami Vivekananda

“Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.” ~ Charles Kettering

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge – myth is more potent than history – dreams are more powerful than facts – hope always triumphs over experience – laughter is the cure for grief – love is stronger than death.” ~ Robert Fulghum

And I will sign off with some music: since the munchkins and I were singing this in the car at the tops of our lungs on the way home today. 🙂

Blessings to you all…
