Friday Philosophy…

Ha! It’s Friday, and I’m writing. Since my last totally awesome workout, I’ve been sick as a dog. I haven’t really been on my feet much until today. I ended up with a sinus infection, and due to a health insurance issue, was unable to see a doctor. So, I went “frontier woman” and treated myself without antibiotics. Much better now, thank goodness. Off to our quotable quotes for the day.

“Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise. Seek what they sought.” ~ Matsuo Basho

“Life begins where fear ends.” ~ Osho

“Although only breath, the words which I speak are immortal.” ~ Sappho
I have to interject here – this quote makes me think of the power of our words: they are gifts or weapons, depending upon how they are used. Words stay with you, and have the power to enlighten or imprison.

“If all our national holidays were observed on Wednesdays, we could wind up with nine day weekends.” ~ George Carlin 🙂

“Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious.” ~ Rumi

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~ Rumi

I know, a broad grouping of quotes today: blame the sinuses. Blessings to you all, and remember NEVER GIVE UP!
